Bernie Hassan - Weichert Realty Says to
Real Estate Consumer Joel Stern:
" Apparently you have an ax to grind and it’s not with me or any of my agents. Clearly by your email and the list of people you are connecting me to have an issue. While I do feel badly about how you were treated you seem to want to make a hard and fast case that the entire industry is corrupt when that is not the case.
Again we have been successful with our well trained and managed staff. All contracts can be written subject to legal review. It is an accepted and worthwhile practice that allows attorney’s to have a say in a client contract after the offer is written and accepted by the seller prior to a P&S agreement where legal counsel has more input.
Maybe you should not be so one way with your thinking.

A Hard and Fast Case that the Entire Industry is Corrupt?
Well Joel Stern, Real Estate Consumer has been at this for years upon years as have the others that he networks with, plus Joel Stern has experienced this Flat Out assault on the Real Estate Consumer and NO accountability to the REALTORS who do the damage, NO attempt at Really upholding the "Realtor Ethics" or of REALLY being of a Higher Standard. NAR Does NOT get to have the Title "Voice of the Real Estate Industry" just because NAR chose it or trademarked it. That kind of a title SHOULD only be given by the people.
The National Association of Realtors participates Daily on a Global Real Estate Consumer Smackdown, they Lobby for what is in the Best Interest of Realtors and NOT the Real Estate Consumer and in a time when the Real Estate Consumer - Cheated by Realtors, banks, lenders, mortgage brokers, appraisers and especially NAR... they are losing everything and they voice some of what they have experienced and Realtors like Bernie Hassan Manager of Weichert Realty say they are Silly, accuse them of Generalizing and of Hard and Fast Criticism WHEN really I have personally witnessed the Corruption and NO Consumer Protection, No Accountability even attempted at Realtors who lie - and not even a tiny bit of a stand to be on the side of the victim - the truth telling- proof holding real estate consumer.
I don't Care how well trained your staff is, you cannot teach morals really.. and when a good agent tries to do the right thing, the Big Boys and Gals - the Broker Owners - the Franchise Owners - the Lobbyist and Affiliations shut that Good Realtor up as fast as they say Hey you Can't... So in NO WAY am I saying all Realtors are Bad or not "quality trained" most Realtors are Good People - WHO CARES - that is irrelevant if Real Estates Laws CANNOT be Enforced, Ethics are NOT even Attempted to be enforced, MLS Data is Corrupt and has NO - NOT One, quality control measure in place to ensure that this Data is correct in any way.
E and O insurance keeps Real Estate Victims in court for years NO matter how much proof of Fraud they have on the Realtor.
Title Companies insure a Legal and not livability. Appraisers hedge on values to please Realtors and no Liability for if the Home is Really Habitable. Title Companies do not have to keep copies of Home Inspections previously made or sale fails - this is not disclosed to buyers most of the time and oh well... once YOU, the Realtor got their money ... YOUR GONE and their lives are ruined fighting year after year for Something they Thought they were buying .. the Realtor Advertised, Wrote down, told them they were buying ... that is NOT what they got and the Realtor has NO Liability... I have seen this Over and Over Again.
I was a well Trained, Honest "Realtor", NAR Member.
I had no way to Protect or Defend the Real Estate Consumer. No way to enforce Ethics and No one to hear when I told of multi-million dollar real estate fraud. NO one protected me or my consumer from the Corrupt Realtors, E and O made sure of that as well as other Affiliations that are VERY bad for the Real Estate Consumer.
E and O insurance protects Realtors and not Consumers.
There is No Consumer protection in the
Corrupt Real Estate Industry.
Joel does not so much as have an ax to grind, he is simply one of hundreds of thousands of real
estate consumers fed up with how Realtors are ABOVE the Law, How Realtors can do the damage they do to the Real Estate Consumer with No Accountable. There are litter ally millions of stories out there just like and way worse then Joel Stern's Proverbial "Ax to Grind".
NAR at any level... local - state or National, DOES not even attempt to uphold ethics among agents, will not listen to real estate victims or even Broker Owners such as myself who did try OVER and OVER to defend and protect the real estate consumer, as I bought in... HOOK line and sinker to the Lie that being a Realtor would make me of a "Higher Standard" it did not.
I believed in those Ethics and Standards of Practice and I wanted to be a Part of THAT... it was a lie, all of it.. almost 11 years now as a Broker Owner and Well I Stand by the TRUTH and NAR is a Fraud, Period. I quit NAR a few years back - and I am VERY proud to be a NON-MLS, NON-Realtor - Real Estate Broker. Many will soon join me as NAR is a Disgrace and was Something We were SOLD as we first Got into Real Estate - turns out we Got Something VERY different then we thought we were getting.. sounds like the NAR motto all the way around.
THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY IS CORRUPT, there is no quality control, no consumer protection, no accountability and Good Brokers can't do business ....
There is NOT one Reason to EVER use an NAR member ..EVER..Well trained staff, irrelevant, a million good Realtors cannot defend a real estate victim over One Good ol' boy top of the realtor food chain bad agent. And funny, the most slams I get online, the thing most important to most Realtors driven into them by NAR.. well they don't like the way I say Real A TOR...
